GLASS
Standard roof glass is tempered/tempered one inch overall thickness (3/16-5/8-3/16) insulated units in High-Performance Low-E glass. Side glass is tempered/tempered 7/8 inch overall (3/16-1/2-3/16), also in High-Performance Low-E glass. There are two optional upgrades to the High-Performance Low-E glass.

* U-value measures the insulating properties of glass. The lower the better.
**Shading coefficient and Solar Heat Gain Coefficient measure the amount of solar energy admitted through the glass. The lower the U-value, the lower the air-conditioning costs.
***Upgraded (lower) shading coefficients may be desirable in high-sun locations to reduce heat gain. Note the reduction in Visible Llight Ratio that accompanies higher shading coefficients. (For comparison, note that clear insulated glass has a Visible Light Ratio of 80%).
